RGBLIST OF WORKS
Signal RGB (2024 Version) consists of approximately 60 liquid crystal displays arranged on shelves, all of them playing back different video content. The idea for the display technique came from the random displays of different kinds of monitors at electronic shops. As if symbolizing the magnificent elements that surround humanity, the motifs for the moving graphics include geometric shapes, images of plants and natural phenomena, letter-like shapes, and geoglyphs.
The work as a whole has no integrated meaning, neither is there any explanation of individual meanings or mutual relationships, which paradoxically reinforces the mystique and the strength of the visual appeal. To speak metaphorically, when the information about“something”is removed from the act of“communicating something”to someone, perhaps a floating graphic is the only form of“communication.”

《Signal RGB (2024 Version)》は約60台の全て異なる動画を再生する液晶ディスプレイと棚で構成されており、この展示方法は 様々な種類のモニターがランダムに設置されている家電製品店のモニター売り場から着想を得ています。動くグラフィックのモチーフは幾 何学的形態、植物や自然現象のイメージ、文字 ( のようなもの)や地上絵などで、人類を取り巻く壮大な要素を記号化しているようです。
それぞれの意味やお互いの関係性は説明されず、作品全体としては統合された意味合いも持たないように見えますが、それらが持つ神秘性や視覚的訴 求力の強さが逆説的に強調されます。例え るならば、誰かに「何かを伝える 」ことから「何か」の情報を排除することで「伝える」形象としてのグラフィックだけが浮遊している光景かもしれません。
